| Egypt has some 100 pyramids, most of the pyramids were built as tombs for the Pharaohs. The Sphinx is a statue of a lion reclining with a human head, it is located on the west bank of the Nile. The Sphinx is approximately 73.5 meters long, 6 meters wide and 20 meters high. The Sphinx was built in the 3rd millennium BC, It is the oldest monumental sculpture. |
